Poppy and Ollie - The "Pawfect" Match

Poppy's confidence started to rise the moment we brought home Ollie. She would NEVER sit in the middle of an open room like this before, only under the bed/my desk/somewhere covered. Since then she has been adapting more dog behavior from watching him. She chews on Nylabones and chew toys now!! She's usually out in the open next to me now. Poppy has been getting more excited/happy in the mornings which has been so great to see - but today took the cake! Ever since removing the old bed frame (we got a new bed that she cannot get under, which is where she ate her meals... sorry Poppy!), she will eat her meals in the office, typically under my desk. So far, at our house, she has NOT eaten out in the open - only where there's cover. Today she joined Ollie in bouncing around the kitchen while I filled their bowls. A first! I gave Ollie his food and expected her to run back to the office to await her meal. She DIDN'T! She stayed in the kitchen, hopping up and down in place. So I put her food bowl down to see what would happen.. and she ate in the MIDDLE of the kitchen!!!! I am over the moon with how much she has grown. She goes outside twice the amount now, drinks more water, and chews more toys. She is also visibly happier. Ollie is such a love and makes us so happy. But boy does he keep us on our toes!! He is a little mischievous but we still love him to pieces. He loves love and is just such a joy to have around. He's a quintessential "normal" dog! 🐶
