Saban and Flint

My husband Dave and I always loved dogs. We both grew up with them. Me, Shepards and Airedale Terriers, and him, Huskies and Labs. When my husband lost his beloved Bailey at 14 years of age, we needed some time to heal. When we moved in 2020 to a house with a big backyard, we were in heaven and started to think about adopting another dog. It was perfect timing as I had just lost my mother and my kids and I were heartbroken. We decided to adopt a rescue dog to help with our grief. Then I found the Crossing Paths website and fell in love with Saban. He was a Lab mix who looked so much like Bailey! We inquired together and adopted him in Sept 2020. He is the sweetest and most loving dog and he just loves to love. About a year later, we wanted a companion for him as he did have a little bit of separation anxiety. We checked the website again and saw Flint. He was a puppy, but we were ready for the challenge! He was shy, timid, and scared. I remember calling Crossing Paths two or three times and asking about his upbringing. He was not potty trained and spent the first few months of his life with his siblings in one room with a doggie door. So, we were patient and he started to adjust after a month or so. We were so happy! Now, we are ready to take on another rescue and are so excited!
