Stella (Bonnie)

After losing my 2 labs, I needed something to fill the house's emptiness. A friend of mine adopted the year prior from Crossing Paths and I kept looking for Labs. However, this little cutie caught my eye and although she is much smaller, she acts like my yellow Lab! Stella herniated her disc at 1.5 years old by walking up on my deck. Her hinds were paralyzed and she needed emergency surgery. She still has some paralysis and incontinence issues. The therapist and I worked on her mobility so that she could walk again and not need wheels. We did extensive water therapy and exercises to regain some function. Although she still drops and drags, she is a happy, tough little one. Today at 8 years old, Stella is my baby girl who I'll love until the end of time.
