Balin

After losing one of our dogs earlier in 2022, we decided to look to add another dog to our family. We have always had two dogs and our other dog enjoys having a buddy. I came across a dog on Crossing Paths, but after talking to the foster, decided he might not be the best fit for our family. Joyce reached out to me with some suggestions of other dogs that might be a better fit. I saw Balin (formally Buddy) and fell in love with his videos and pictures. It was nice to speak with Ashlee at their rescue who was able to provide a lot of information about his personality. Balin was very shy at first (he hid under the table for a few days), but warmed up quickly to Benzington, and us shortly after. It has been a little over 6 months as I write this now and I am so amazed by how far he has come! He is doing things I never thought he would. He loves to travel, cuddle, go on long walks, he even won a BFF pet costume contest with his buddy. Benzington and Balin have been wonderful together and we couldn't be happier to have Balin as part of our family. Thank you Crossing Paths for rescuing these beautiful babies. The happiness and love that a dog can bring into your life is really something unique and special. Every time I come through the front door, Balin runs up to me with his tail wagging a million miles an hour and I just know I have changed his life forever, and he too for me.
