Meet Chachi. She is a 6-7-year-old female GSD/Hound mix and weighs around 55 pounds and is full of energy. Chachi came into the rescue a few years ago and has been a hard adopt because shes dog is selective and plays quite rough. She was on anxiety meds when she arrived but has not needed them here. She would definitely benefit from it in a new transition though. Her story is sad as are most rescues but she has so very much to offer the right person. She would be a rescue in the true sense. She was originally rescued from a bad situation and shuffled around to different boarding facilities until she landed here. She really deserves a wonderful home to enjoy her last years. She will need a home with no other dogs (to begin with) but would probably accept a puppy with a calm demeanor when she's situated and trusts her new home. I would say no children or cats just because of her energy level which is likely to change in a home environment. In a calm home with lots of TLC, I believe she would blossom. Chachi is very loving and playful even at this age. She loves all toys and will happily toss them for herself. She’s dear to my heart and deserves a chance with an owner who is willing to invest the time needed for some training and lots of love to get her settled in. If you are that person, I would love to talk with you about my Chachi girl.
