While making their rounds, Animal Control discovered a litter of 10 Schnauzer puppies and their dad under a bridge. The severely malnourished dogs were covered with fleas and ticks and had extensive teeth and hair loss. The puppies and dad were taken to a kill shelter, but they were out of room. Like usual, Crossing Paths was called and we were asked if we could rescue them. Of course, Mary Ellen immediately hopped into the van to go collect them.

Some of the puppies were gravely ill when they came into rescue and they were immediately admitted to our Critical Care Unit. Unfortunately, two puppies could not be saved.

The rest of the puppies (Miso, Dough, Drizzle, Griddle, Dollop, Souffle, Noodle, and Tofu) and dad (Barnes) slowly recovered and their fur and teeth are growing in nicely. They are currently about 4 1/2 months old and are available for adoption! These pups are playful and loving and have wonderful temperaments; most of them are snuggle bugs!
