Adoption Process

Unless othersie noted in the description on the adoption website, our dogs are in a network of foster homes in and around Blount County, Alabama which are private residences and, therefore, not open to the public.  Unless you are within driving distance of Blount County, you must be comfortable adopting a dog without a prior face-to-face meeting. (If the dog is in foster care in the Northeast, we will note that on the adoption website for that specific dog)

1

Fill out the Adoption Application below. List any dogs in which you are interested in order of preference.  We receive many applications as soon as a dog is posted so please check our postings often.

2

Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted within 2 weeks.  If your application is approved, you will be put in contact with the dog's foster parent to ask any questions you may have and to determine if the dog will be a good fit for your household.

3

If that ends on a positive note, the adoption will be finalized (contract executed and payment secured) and the dog will be scheduled for transport, if necessary.  Transports are at least every 3 weeks and go as far north as Newtown, PA.
